Seychellois Creole (Kreol seselwa) is one of the official languages spoken in the Seychelles by around 80,000 people.
Seychellois Creole is a French based Creole. More than 98% of its vocabulary can be traced back to the French language of the 17th and 18th century, via the French settlers who arrived in the Seychelles from Mauritius and Réunion.
