To be fair, these basic words aren't so basic, and in hindsight a different selection would have been more appropriate for beginners.
Luckily, they are spoken clearly and are still useful to listen and pronoune as another way of becoming familiar with the sound and spelling of Welsh.
For those who are learning Welsh more seriously, there are a fair number of very commonly used words within these sentences.
Faint 'how much'.
Dw i 'I am'.
Fy 'My'.
Beth 'What'.
Eich 'Your'.
There are a few more, but I'm sure that you get the idea. Even a few basic Welsh phrases contain a large amount of recyclable vocabulary, and it is worth spending a few minutes checking what will be useful for you.
And finally, you will notice a mutation in Faint mae hwn yn ei gostio? 'How much does it cost?'.
